Cures for intestinal worms

Intestinal worms are a form of parasites that enter the body either through food or water and sometimes though sexual contact. There are four common types of intestinal worms: round worms, pin worms, whip worms and tape worms. The main way in which infestation takes place is through consumption of contaminated food, drinking infected water, poor hygiene and eating raw or uncooked meat.

These worms are not dangerous and present in various animals, as they aid the digestion process. However, when they start to multiply in large numbers, they become a problem for the host and cause a variety of complications that include abdominal discomfort and loss of weight.

There are a number of home remedies that you can try that are safe and effective. Take one cup of grated carrot and eat it in the morning before breakfast for a period of 4-5 days. Another remedy you can try is a treatment that involves the use of 1 tablespoon of papaya juice mixed with a teaspoon of honey. Take it first thing in the morning, after which you should consume a glass of warm milk mixed with castor oil. Follow the treatment for two days to yield effective results. Since you've mentioned that you are pregnant, a worm infection could affect the baby as well and therefore it is advisable to consult your doctor for further advice.
