Bladder infection home remedies

Bladder infections are caused when the E. coli bacteria normally found in the vagina enter the urinary tract. This is not an uncommon occurrence and many women suffer from these infections.

The most important thing to do here is drink a large amount of healthy fluids. These fluids can include water, cranberry juice, barley water, and mild herbal teas like chamomile. Although drinking a lot of fluids may not be an appealing idea at the time of a bladder infection it is crucial to do so as this ensures that the pain-causing bacteria are being washed out of the system. As soon as you notice a change in the color of your urine from dark to clear it means that you are successfully fighting the infection.

Another simple dietary change you can try is introducing or increasing your intake of yogurt. This ensures that you are getting a dose of the probiotic acidophilus bifidus. These healthy bacteria can fight the unhealthy infection-causing bacteria and help you heal faster.

Cranberry juice is another much recommended home remedy for bladder infections. Although it may not prove to be immediately effective if consumed in small quantities you could fight off future onslaughts of the same infection by consuming two classes of this clear-red fluid daily.
