Eye pain remedies
Our eyes are sensitive and hurt when we have been overworking them. Staring at the computer screen for long periods, exposure to the elements, lack of sleep, and stress are some of the reasons for your eyeballs hurting. However it is always better to consult a doctor who can check your eyes for any infection or weakness.
Wash your eyes with cold water. If your work involves extensive use of your eyes, then take a break when you have worked for an hour. You can also use a cold compress to relive the pain in your eyes.
Pack some ice in a bag and hold it up to your eye. You can also try lying down with soft pieces of cloth which have been dipped in cold water on your eye. Try to regulate your sleep and work patterns to ensure that you get adequate sleep.
You can also prevent any further eye trouble by eating food that will help strengthen your eyes. The benefits of eating carrots are well documented. Eat carrots raw. Fruits like papaya, mangoes, and oranges will also help your eyes. Include plenty of green leafy vegetables in your diet since these are also considered to be good for your eyes.
