Every individual needs to maintain a particular amount of weight based on their age, sex and height. In order to determine what a person's ideal weight should be a statistical tool known as the BMI calculator has been devised. This simply helps in indicating what your weight should be, in relation to your height.

Individuals that have a BMI below 18 are said to be underweight, while those that fall in the range of 20-25 are said to be normal, anything above 25 is considered overweight while people that have a reading over 35 are said to be obese. As you have not mentioned your height, it is impossible to determine if you are overweight or not. A person could be overweight due to a large number of reasons, such as; overeating, sedentary life style, slow metabolism, genetics and so on. Being overweight can have serious repercussions on one's health due to the added amount of pressure being exerted on the body's organs.

If you are tethering on the brink of being obese then a glass of milk and honey will not help. You will need to follow a more rigorous dietary regime, in order to lose weight. Consulting a dietician would be the best way to go. However, if it is just a few extra pounds that you are worried about then this technique would work, but you may need to exercise a few additional remedies for positive results. To a glass of lukewarm water, add 1 teaspoon of honey and the freshly squeezed juice from one lime. This mixture should be had every morning on an empty stomach. Consuming two tomatoes for breakfast has also been found to b effective in losing weight. However, they have to be consumed on an empty stomach and should not be accompanied by any other food.

Mix together a cup of warm water, a teaspoon of honey, three teaspoon of freshly squeezed lime juice and a quarter teaspoon of powdered black pepper. This concoction should be had daily for 2-3 months. It is known to be a great weight loss remedy. Include plenty of cabbage into your diet. You can consume it in the cooked form or raw, in a salad. Additionally include plenty of guavas, peaches, figs, grapes, jackfruit and French beans into your diet. Avoid junk foods and fried foods religiously.  Drink plenty of green tea; this will also help in shedding a few pounds.

Weight loss treatment

However, what is more important here is that in case you really are overweight, a tablespoon of honey and hot water is certainly not enough to lose weight. Getting fit is hard work. It requires discipline and an entire lifestyle change. There is no simple, easy home remedy that will make you magically lose weight. However, that said, if you are determined to do it, you will manage, although it will take a good deal of time and effort. Two key factors that will help are exercise and diet.

You should make a long term exercise plan, begin immediately, and stick to it. You will be more likely to stick to your plan if you choose some activity that you enjoy. Be sure to exercise for at least an hour a day, not necessarily right from the start, but once you work up the stamina. Regarding your diet, you should essentially watch what you eat rather than how much. Aim at a low fat diet. However, this is a complex area and what works for one person does not always work for another. Obtain as much information as you can, see what works for you, and if necessary, consult a professional.

Remember though, that it often takes people several tries before they see significant results. If you slip up, start again, but don't give up.
