Thrush treatment
Thrush typically affects infants, but it is not uncommon in adults either. It is characterized by white patches that can sometimes harden and peel on the tongue and in and around the mouth. Try to drink chilled liquids, as these will take away the discomfort momentarily.
Cold foods that are soft and do not irritate the patches are also recommended. You can try a rinse with warm water and salt every other hour for relief from the irritation. Applying diluted hydrogen peroxide on the patch will also help.
One part of hydrogen peroxide to two parts of water is workable, if you can stand the taste. If it is severe, you can also apply baking soda to the patch. Apply fresh yogurt with live active cultures to the patches to help ease the discomfort. The live bacteria will also help to fight the infection. You would do well to avoid sugar during the time you have thrush, since it adds to the growth of the fungus. Apples, however, are highly recommended. You can also apply a paste of turmeric powder, a powerful antiseptic and clarified butter (clarified butter) to your patches in order to kill the fungus and help heal faster. Doing this about thrice a day should make a considerable difference.
