Excess sweating remedies

Excessive or profuse sweating, in medical terms, is referred to as Hyperhidrosis. It is a medical condition in which your body sweats profusely, and often for no specific reason.

In general, you would sweat mostly on the face, hands, armpits, scalp, or feet.

For sweaty feet or hands, you can take five tea bags and boil them in 250ml of water for about five minutes. When the solution cools, you can soak your hands or feet for about ½ hour. Tea contains tannic acid that has an antiperspirant action, so this remedy should help reduce sweating on your hands and feet.

Some other home remedies that you can try for sweating in any part of the body are as follows:

  • Drink plenty of water, at least eight glasses in a day, on a regular basis.
  • Avoid oily foods, spicy foods, and alcohol.
  • Drink sage tea. To prepare sage tea, you need to soak one teaspoon of dried sage in approximately 100ml of boiling water, and let it steep for about 15 minutes. Then, filter the solution and drink it twice or thrice a day.
  • Wear cotton because they absorbs perspiration better than synthetic materials.

Excessive sweating does not itself count as a disease, but it can be a symptom of a medical condition such as disorder of the nerves. So if there is no improvement, it is best to consult your doctor.
