Health advice on sleeplessness
Eat plenty of pulses, wholegrain and nuts as they contain thiamine and vitamin B. These elements keep your nerves healthy and enable you to relax and sleep naturally.
Boil 1 tbsp of the seeds of lettuce in half a liter of water till it reduces to 1/3rd its quantity. Drink this concoction regularly to sleep better as it contains ‘lectucarium' which is a sleep inducing substance.
Drink 1 glass of warm milk added with 1 tsp of honey. Honey acts as a tranquilizer. You can also add a pinch of turmeric powder to it as it will help you keep warm in a colder climate. Before going to sleep, massage the soles of your feet with milk till it gets absorbed.
Eat 2 or 3 cups of curd everyday and massage it on your scalp regularly but if you are allergic to cold then avoid the latter exercise.
Mix an equal amount of bottle gourd juice and sesame oil and rub it on your scalp every night. Cook the leaves of bottle gourd and eat as a vegetable.
Let 375 ml of water reach boiling point and then add 1 tsp of aniseed to it. Cover the lid and leave it to simmer for 15 minutes. Now, strain it and drink the liquid while it is still warm once after lunch and once before going to bed at night. You can also add hot milk or honey for taste.
