Health advice for chicken pox
If there are lots of rashes in the scalp then it would be advisable to shave the hair as it may become difficult for you to manage it with them. It might also affect her hair growth and quality in the long run. Hair can grow back but it is important to have them healthy.
Use the following remedies for relief form itching due to chicken pox and speeding up the healing process.
Sweeten catnip tea with molasses and give it to her to drink regularly. This will help in reducing the fever.
Soak 2 tbsp of marigold flowers and 1 tsp of the leaves of witch hazel in 1 cup of water overnight. In the morning apply the liquid over the rashes for relief from itching.
Rhus tox, pulsatilla and sulphur are some of the useful homeopathic medicines for curing chicken pox. The herbs ethinacea, goldenseal and ginger roots are very useful for chicken pox.
She should drink coconut water, fresh fruit juices and lots of water to keep away from dehydration.
Fill a tub of water and add ginger to it. Ask her to sit in it for half an hour daily to relieve itching.
Slowly move margosa leaves over the rashes for soothing the skin. You can also add two handfuls of margosa leaves to a tub filled with lukewarm water and ask her to soak in it.
