Home remedies to lower high levels of cholesterol
Add garlic to your regular diet. You can swallow 3 cloves of garlic on an empty stomach in the morning everyday. Mix 1 tsp of honey with 1 tsp of garlic juice and have it after your lunch for 2 weeks.
Snack on almonds for at least 3 weeks and then you can have 2 or 3 almonds daily.
Add 1 tsp of honey to 1 cup of warm water and mix 1 tsp of lime juice to this. You can substitute lime juice with 10 drops of apple cider vinegar. Take this solution every morning on an empty stomach. Honey will keep your cholesterol level under control.
Eat half a cup of oatmeal a day or 3 tomatoes as a breakfast will reduce the cholesterol.
1 cup of brown rice is equivalent to 11% of fiber which is the daily requirement of an adult. You can have the oil extracted form the bran of rice regularly.
Have 25 to 50 gms of Soya protein daily for a month. Soya helps in improving the ability of the arteries to dilate which prevent blockage caused by the fats.
Include the sprouts of alfalfa in your breakfast or as a snack and eat 1 cup of plain yoghurt daily to reduce the cholesterol levels.
