Flu home remedies
Flu is usually caused by a virus which affects our body. If you have just started flu then you are probably suffering from a cough, groaning because of body aches, headaches nausea and even fever. However, it is always advisable to visit the doctor and confirm the diagnosis that you have made for yourself.
If you have flu, then it is better if you stay home for a couple of days. Relax and allow your body to recover. Try to avoid going out or even inviting people over.
Flu is infectious and you are in danger of spreading your bug if you go out.
Since dehydration is a risk when you are suffering form flu, it is a good idea to drink plenty of fluids. Tea, coffee don't count though soups do. Eat lots of soup and drink lots oforange juice. Keep to a light diet. Avoid eating very heavy, oily food. Instead you can eat boiled ice, baked potatoes, cereal etc.
You can make an herbal tea of your own by peeling and then grating a half inch piece of ginger. Boil a cup of water and add the grated ginger. Let it boil till the water is reduced. Now strain it out. You can also add some honey if you prefer drinking it sweet.
