Relation between gastritis and mental discomfort
There is no scientific evidence to prove that there is any connection between gastritis and mental discomfort. However, it is entirely possible that an uncomfortable condition like gastritis should make you feel miserable. So it is better that you try and attack that problem instead. You can sip fresh tender coconut water all day to begin with. On that particular day, it is preferable to avoid eating or drinking anything else or smoking. After the first day, you can switch to chilled water all day, and maintain drinking tender coconut water in the mornings on an empty stomach. Eating papaya on an empty stomach is also known to cleanse the system thoroughly. Eat as much yogurt as you can. The live bacteria in yogurt fight acids that lead to gastritis. Fresh fruit is also soothing to the stomach and will help in tackling the problem effectively. However, you must avoid fruits that are high in acidic content such as oranges and sweet limes. The best fruits to eat would be papayas, apples, melon, water melon and chikoo (sapota). To tackle the problem of acidity, you can also sip from a glass of 50 milliliters of milk, topped off with ice all day. This will help soothe an irritated stomach. A cure for gastritis could actually mean a cure for your mental discomfort.
