Natural remedies to lighten complexion To a large extent, your skin will always remain its natural color, and beyond a certain point there is not much you can do about it. The most natural way, however, to lighten your complexion is to limit your exposure to the sun. Extreme measures such as staying indoors during daylight are unnecessary, but when you do go into the sun, ensure that your arms and legs are covered and you wear a hat or some other headgear to shield your face.
Gradually, the tan that you have acquired will fade and your skin color will be noticeably lighter.
Simultaneously, you can try regularly applying a few home remedies. Sandalwood is supposed to help keep the complexion fair — create a mix of sandalwood powder, cucumber juice, lemon juice, and tomato juice, and apply this paste once a day for half an hour. You can also daily wash your face with a mixture of lemon juice and rose water.
However, what is more important is for you to accept your skin color and realise that beauty has not much to do with it. In any case, if people think less of you because you are not "fair enough", that is their loss. Unless you are suffering from some sort of pigmentation disorder, there is no need to worry about your complexion.
