Health advice on rheumatoid arthritis

Rheumatoid arthritis, or the inflammation of various joints, occurs when the tissues around the joints are attacked by your immune system. Rheumatoid arthritis can attack various organs in your body and can last for years. That is why it is advisable to consult a medical practitioner before you begin any treatment.

Mix two teaspoons of lemon juice with one teaspoon of honey in a cup of warm water. Mix well and drink twice a day. You can also mix half a teaspoon of turmeric in a cup of warm water.

Drink this twice a day. Avoid eating hot and spicy food. Don't eat cauliflower, potatoes, cabbage, broccoli and fried food. Avoid drinking tea and coffee and stay away from chocolates.  Avoid staying up late at night and ensure that you get a good night's sleep. Avoid taking very strong medication. You can practice some yoga and meditation in order to stay calm.

Include plenty of vegetable soups and juices in your diet. If eating a salad, avoid rich and heavy dressings. Instead use only a little lemon juice and some salt. In particular ensure that you drink beetroot, carrot and cucumber juice. Get plenty of physical exercise. Massaging the affected areas with some oil can help ease discomfort.
