Remedy for body detox There is no real way to detoxify your body through a foot soak, but a foot soak will certainly do you a lot more good than detox foot pads or detox body patches. Detox pads and patches are just another health craze. They may provide some minor benefits — it's not possible to say for sure that they're useless — but these benefits are certainly not worth the price you pay and they certainly don't include a detox.
At best, what can be said about them for sure is that they're harmless, except for the waste of money. If drawing out substances through the skin were so easy, we'd all have a much easier time at both keeping our bodies clean and nourishing them.
The best way to detoxify your body is to follow a healthy, natural diet — permanently, and not just for a day or a week.
Lots of vegetables, fruits, fruit juices, fiber, adequate amounts of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats, and cutting down or avoiding red meat, alcohol, tobacco, and caffeine. There are short-term “detox diets” that do help, but it's a much better idea to eat healthy all the time, rather than just for a few days every six months. The only other viable detox method is chelation therapy, but this is something that's used only for acute toxic metal poisoning, and should not be approached as a home remedy. If you want a good foot soak, try warm water with Epsom salts.
