Smelly flatulence remedies When a mixture of gases, known as flatus, is present in the digestive tract, it is known as flatulence. These gases are produced by bacteria and yeasts found in the gastrointestinal tract when certain foods do not break down completely in the small intestine. When the anal sphincter cannot restrain the pressure of the flatus, it is released through the rectum, creating an embarrassing sound.
This is also often accompanied by an unpleasant smell. In addition to the embarrassment, flatulence can also cause discomfort and pain.
Flatulence is sometimes caused by swallowing air, which contains oxygen and nitrogen. People sometimes breathe through the mouth as a result of anxiety. The oxygen gets absorbed by the mucous lining of the stomach or the bacteria in the colon but the nitrogen is not absorbed at all and results in flatulence. You can reduce this kind of flatulence by breathing correctly and practicing relaxation techniques. A common kind of flatulence occurs when carbohydrates are poorly absorbed. These foods include beans, milk products, and various wheat products. To reduce this, you should chew your food carefully and ensure that you have given your stomach the lesser job. You can also try avoiding high-carbohydrate and high fat foods. If you have an excessive and persistent flatulence problem, visit your doctor to eliminate all chances of any other problems.
