Sweating remedies Excessive sweating, much more than is necessary to regulate body temperature, is a condition that is medically known as hyperhidrosis. This condition occurs in either a generalized or localized manner and the most common areas for it to occur are the armpits, hands, and genital areas. Hyperhidrosis can affect a person in adolescence and or it can start suddenly at any age.
There is no known cause for hyperhidrosis but a degradation of lifestyle, anxiety, nervous system problems, and certain foods are thought to play a role in causing it.
You can control and monitor hyperhidrosis but you cannot cure it completely. There are a number of medications available that can help you control your problem.
You can also opt for surgery for a more permanent solution. Obesity seems to make hyperhidrosis worse and if you are overweight, then might help your condition to loose some weight. You can try alternate methods like hypnosis and meditation but these have been proved to have only limited success. You can temporarily treat hyperhidrosis by applying talcum powder in the affected areas. The powder will absorb the sweat and keep the area dry for a little while. In addition, you can also exercise some control on your diet. Reduce your intake of food with strong odors such as onions and garlic and spicy foods like curry because these foods can be smelled in the sweat.
