Hyper pigmentation home remedies

Hyper pigmentation may be caused as a result of the damage caused by exposure to the sun, or because of some injury. You may also notice this after you have recovered from acne. What happens is that your skin darkens because of the increase in melanin, a pigment found in the skin, eyes and hair of humans.

That is why you notice patches of darkened skin on your face and hands. Since Hyper pigmentation is associated with a variety of medical conditions, it is a good idea to consult a dermatologist.

Aloe Vera can help you get rid of the marks on your face.

When you break off a leaf from an Aloe Vera Plant you will find that it secretes a gel. Apply this gel over the affected areas of your face and leave on for twenty minutes before washing it off. Regular use of Aloe Vera can help lighten the dark patches. Slices of raw potato can be placed on the affected areas in order to reduce the dark marks. A mixture of turmeric powder and lemon juice acts as a natural bleach. It is a good idea to protect your skin from the sun.  So remember to use a wide brimmed hat or an umbrella when out in the sun.

Eating right can also work wonders in reducing the dark patches. Hygiene is an integral part of any skin care ritual, so remember to wash your hands regularly before touching your face.
