Being overweight is a result of heredity, unhealthy eating habits, sedentary lifestyle, thyroid problem or repercussions of medication. It is quite possible to prevent weight gain if one consumes a balanced diet and gets enough physical exercise. One must eat lots of green leafy vegetables, whole grains, fresh fruits, and raw vegetables and avoid fatty, oily, fried, sugary, and junk food.
Healthy foods provide all the essential nutrients and healthy calories, which are needed for good health. Cooking your food in oils like olive, virgin coconut, and canola are very beneficial as they provide adequate calories and do not have unsaturated fats. Most sugary foods like pastries and chocolates are only full of empty calories that add to the weight. Also, make sure that you eat at the right time and do not starve for long hours. Other than oil, spices, sugar, your intake of salt must also not be excessive. It leads to water retention making one overweight. You must also avoid carbohydrates like rice and potatoes and include wheat, pulses, cereals, and barley in your diet.
Your system needs to be free of toxins, which sap the energy making one eat stimulating foods like sugar. This is also where a healthy diet and exercise regime help. They keep your bowels clean thereby preventing toxic build up in the digestive tract. And, it is a well known fact that exercising burns fats. Even if you get 30 minutes of daily exercise like brisk walking, jogging, cycling, swimming, and light weight training, you will be in shape and your health will be great too. Sit ups and push ups are especially beneficial.
Other than the above mentioned healthy tips, you can promote weight loss by some home remedies. Consume bitter gourd juice ever morning to purify your blood, dispel toxins and promote weight loss. Apple cider vinegar is also beneficial in losing weight. Mix two teaspoons of organic apple cider vinegar in two glasses of water and sip throughout the day. You can also mix the juice of half a lemon and one teaspoon honey in a glass of warm water and drink in the morning on an empty stomach. Tomatoes also burn fats. Eat one or two tomatoes every morning on an empty stomach to lose weight. You can also drink warm water after lunch and dinner as it is solvent of fats. Consuming cabbage, carrots, mint, ginger tea and green tea is also beneficial in losing weight.
