Remedies for Burns

Hot peppers or chili burns are initiated by an uncomfortable agent located in the skin of the pepper. This effect of this on the cause can sometimes cause it to feel like a hot scald or a sunburn, a pulsating and stinging sensation just like a concentrated, blistering infliction.

For starters wash the area with soap and water and immediately roll an ice cube on the burn for temporary relief.

The numbness caused by the ice will soothe the sting. Soda bicarb or baking soda when put on the affected region also renders ease to quite an extent. Most importantly try to restrict any further consumption or temporarily avoid foods containing hot pepper till at such a time you are completely comfortable.

Placing a considerable amount of vegetable oil on the region for over an hour or so and the burning sensation will subside. If oil is not at hand, the best treatment is a freshly snipped off aloe vera leaf onto the burn area. The pure juice from the aloe leaf heals the burn and prevents the skin from becoming tender or raw. The juice should be applied after dry up at regular intervals till the skin feels back to normal.
