Boils home remedies Boils can be cured using long term as well as short term solutions. For immediate relief, make a thick paste of turmeric powder and water and apply. This antiseptic solution will help burst the inflamed boil and bring quick relief. It will also help in dealing with the infection, if any, on a temporary basis. Freshly squeezed juice of onion and garlic can be dabbed on to boils for cure. This may take a few applications before pus is released, however. Once the boil bursts, applying a hot pack around the area will help it drain faster. Applying milk cream is also a commonly used treatment for boils. A long term solution for a recurring problem is to drink the juice of one bitter gourd on an empty stomach every morning. This will remove the problem from the root, provided it is done daily for at least six months. Hot baths are also known to bring relief to boils, especially if they are of the painful variety. For cooling the area, you can apply refrigerated used tea bags to boils. A poultice of Fuller’s earth applied to the area will also help with cooling it down. Change your daily soap to an antiseptic one as part of the long term solution for this particular problem.
