Dry skin remedies

The first thing you must do is show him to a doctor so that you can determine that he does not have a disorder such as Kawasaki disease which affects children around his age and is typified by peeling skin on the hands. Once this threat is eliminated, you must check the soaps and detergents he is coming in contact with. If they are harsh, then he needs to stop using them.

You can exfoliate his skin with a mix of equal parts olive oil and sugar. You must also apply moisturizer several times a day on his hands.

The best variety would be any vegetable oil.

Make a mix of honey, olive oil and cucumber juice and apply on his hands twice a day. Leave this on for at least 15 minutes each time. Likewise, a mixture of sandalwood and turmeric with milk cream can be applied. This will soothe and heal his fingertips. You can also try soaking his hands in a small tub of oatmeal and milk for about half an hour everyday. This should help in developing long-term hydration to his fingers. Regular use of sunscreen with an SPF of at least 50 should aid in improving the condition. Also, try to keep him out of the sun between 11 am and 2 pm, when the sun is at its strongest.
