Fibromyalgia cures Although the pain caused by fibromyalgia can be intense, some remedies that help ease the pain include gentle exercises like some forms of yoga or T'ai chi, and full-body massages once or twice a week. These activities reduce tension in the muscles and lead to better sleep, and reduced body ache over time. During the massage various essential oils including juniper and tea-tree oil can be kneaded into specific pressure points to get relief.
The massage can be followed by a relaxing bath. Adding some of the natural oil used in the massage to the warm bath water can supplement the effect of the massage and enhance the feeling of comfort.
Along with exercise dietary intake of Omega-3 fatty acids can also ease the discomfort as these acids ultimately reduce the pain-inducing inflammation that causes fibromyalgia. Dietary sources that are rich in Omega-3 fatty acids include flax seed oil, and fish like mackerel, cod and salmon. These are also very good sources of the vitamin B12, which is beneficial in controlling the pain as well.
Antioxidants from natural sources like green tea have been found effective in reducing pain-causing inflammation. Commercially available green tea can be steeped in hot water and ingested 2-3 times a day with a spoonful of honey or jaggery (unrefined sugar) powder to promote pain-relief.
