I have really bad decaying tooth. The pain is so severe.

Tooth decay is caused by damage to the tooth enamel. This is typically due to bacteria living in the mouth as a result of poor dental hygiene. One of the simplest remedies you can use is cleaning your teeth and gums properly on a daily basis. In general, reducing your intake of sugars and snacking less between meals helps prevent damage of your teeth and gums.

Another easy solution to tooth decay is the use of lime juice added to a glass of water. Lime juice helps kill bacteria, and drinking it everyday helps strengthen your teeth and prevent toothaches. Consumption of black cherry juice is also effective in fighting tooth decay.

Other simple remedies to ease the pain of toothaches include dipping a cotton swab in vanilla essence and applying it to the affected tooth. A method used by early Europeans was the application of clove oil to the tooth. However, avoid using excess oil (especially around the gums) as it can lead to the development of ulcers.

Turmeric powder on a cotton swab applied to the decayed tooth is also effective in providing relief from the pain, without any side effects. You can also use a clove of garlic to relive the pain as its juice is an effective anesthetic and provides immediate relief.
