Ringworm natural medicines

Ringworm is a common skin disease caused by a parasitic fungus that grows upon the human skin. The infection is characterized by a red-brown patch of skin that typically becomes light in the center. This gives it the appearance of a ring.

Ringworm is contagious and spreads easily by skin contact and by sharing contaminated items such as toilet seats. Ringworm can also spread to other parts of your body through your nails when you itch the infected part.

You should ensure that you bathe daily because even though you cannot wash the infection away, you can derive some measure of relief from the itching by bathing.

Dry yourself thoroughly because the fungus flourishes in moisture. You should also rotate your shoes because shoes usually harbour fungi and your medication may be rendered useless if you keep wearing the same fungus-infested shoes everyday. You can also apply slices of raw papaya on your lesions. Apply a paste made of dried papaya seeds on the lesions. Extract the juice of the leaves of holy basil and apply it on the ringworm to provide some relief. If your infection persists after two weeks of home treatment, you should consult your doctor immediately. In addition, if you see multiple lesions of ringworm all over your body or if it has infected your toenails, you must seek medical treatment at once.
