Ear infection natural medicines

It is a good idea to try home remedies; however, an infection should be looked at and treated by a doctor. Home remedies can provide relief but if a deep-rooted infection is not checked by a doctor, it could get aggravated. Children's ear infections are usually brought on by a cold, so it is a good idea to keep the child away from situations where it can catch a cold.

Applying warm heat packs or a warm washcloth on the outside and down the side of the neck of the infected ear is a good way to provide relief. Drinking water will help use the muscles within the ear so they remain flexible. If your child swims, he may have contracted Swimmer's Ear, which is a fungal infection. Fungal infections are best treated with a mix of equal parts vinegar and water. Pour it down the ear and wiggle the ear to ensure that it reaches deep down. Lime juice is highly acidic in nature and can also fight infection to some degree. Break open a capsule of garlic oil and pour it into the affected ear. Let the child lie on his other side for about 20 minutes. Do this at least twice a day till you see improvement. A few drops of tea tree oil in the ear may also be helpful.
