- An effective home remedy is the use of honey for the treatment of itching eyes.
- Mix a few drops of honey and sesame oil. You can use it as eye drops before going to bed. The use of cold and warm moist compresses, several times a day works as a natural tranquilizer. Boil water and add dried agrimony’s leaves or flowers strain it in a bowl and use it to bathe the eyes. This will help in reducing itchiness and swelling in the eyes.
- Cucumber or cucumber water will also help soothe the eyes. Place thin slices on the skin and around the eye. Leave the slices on the skin for fifteen minutes. This simple application will relax your eyes. Put 3 drops of rose water in the eyes daily to give soothing effect to the eyes. Consult an ophthalmologist immediately, if eye problems last longer than a couple of days.
