Burning tongue causes: I have a tongue that is slightly red and burning.I have a sore throat, too. I feel tired but not to tired not to function normally. Any suggestions as to what might be causing this problem.

Some home remedies beneficial for a burning tongue are within your reach. An effective   treatment for a burnt tongue is to simply chew a sugar free gum. To relieve pain and the burning sensation suck an ice cube. Use baking soda to brush your teeth rather than using toothpaste. Increase the intake of foods rich in iron. And most importantly avoid hot and spicy foods, as it will cause further irritation.

There are some natural treatments for sore throat that are in your kitchen. 

  • A mixture of Apple Cider Vinegar and Honey. Mix 3tbsp honey with a cup of vinegar in a glass.  Gargle the syrup for at least 15 seconds and repeat the process.  
  • -Add one teaspoon of salt in a cup of warm water. Use this solution to gargle three times per day.
  • A sore throat is caused by an infection. Lemon is rich in Vitamin C and has properties that fight infection. Take a fresh lemon and squeeze it in warm glass of water, gargle with it about 3 times a day.
  • Immerse a ginger root in hot water, wait for 5 to10 minutes. Drink the syrup while it is warm. Repeat this several times in a day.
  • Make a paste of 1-2 cloves of garlic and a few cloves. Mix the paste  with a cup of honey. Drink 1 - 2 tsp about 4 times in a day.
  • Add a pinch of turmeric to one cup of warm milk. Drink the milk at least 15 minutes before going to bed.
