Remedy for cracked heels
- Use mild soap and wash your feet gently with lukewarm water. Scrub it lightly using a pumice stone and remove the dead skin. Apply any vegetable oil to the cracked area and wear thick cotton socks.
Leave it overnight and after a few days, the fissures will heal. - Mash a ripe banana and coat it over the cracked area. Leave it for ten to fifteen minutes and then wash it off.
- Apply lemon juice to the cracked heel daily for about a fortnight. Moisturize your heel after that.
- You can also apply regularly a mixture of glycerin and rosewater on the heels.
- Mix mustard oil with melted paraffin wax. Apply this to your heels at night and wear socks. Leave it for the night and continue this for at least fifteen days.
- Soak your feet in warm water for at least 10-15 minutes before going to bed. Massage it with mustard oil and wash it in the morning.
- Avoid walking barefoot and exfoliate the heels twice daily.
- Keep your dry and clean it immediately after coming from outside.
- Eat foods that are rich in calcium, minerals, vitamins, iron and zinc. Green leafy vegetables, cereals, milk, cheeses, yoghurt, whole grain products, nuts, broccoli, chicken, fish, brown rice and eggs are a good source of these nutrients.
