Home Remedy for soreness
A sore tongue can be due to vitamin B2 deficiency. - Eat foods rich in iron and vitamin B.
- Take a piece of ice and suck it till it melts. It will heal the tongue and reduce soreness.
- Check whether your toothpaste is causing the problem. If that is so then wash your teeth with baking soda.
- Chewing gums generate saliva which helps in healing the sore tongue. Try chewing sugar free ones.
- You can rinse your mouth twice daily with a mouthwash.
- Drink a glass of warm water mixed with half a teaspoon of turmeric powder at night.
- Powder dehydrated alum and mix honey in it. Apply this paste on your tongue at least once a day.
- Gargle with coconut milk and eat yoghurt to heal the soreness.
- Rinse your mouth properly after every meal. You can also do this every one hour to relieve the burning sensation and clean your tongue.
- Dehydration can also lead to soreness. Drink at least half a glass of plain water every half an hour.
- Avoid eating hot spices and very hot foods.
- Try to eat as less of salt as possible till the soreness reduces and the cracks heal.
- Stop smoking completely and substitute your tea and coffee with herbal tea.
