Home Cure for Underactive Thyroid

Thyroid decline affects every part in our body, causing a wide range of age-related problems. It mainly controls the body's fat utilization. Hypothyroidism can cause poor concentration, memory problems, chill hands and feet, uncontrollable weight gain, menstrual problems [in women], sleep disorders/ disturbances, dryness of skin, thinning hair and lethargy.

Armor is the one of the oldest thyroid medication available; It is naturally extracted from cow's thyroid gland. One of the reasons Armor thyroid is widely accepted by a lot of people because the it contains both T4 and T3, as compare majority of other drugs which have T4 only.

To maintain a healthy thyroid antioxidants like Vitamin C, A & E, Selenium and Zinc are very crucial.

You should certainly eat a healthy diet and indulge in proper exercise, too. The benefits of essential fatty acid foods like fish oil & Walnuts is also essential.

Following are some basic nutrition guidelines:

  • Eat a well-balanced diet, consisting of vegetables and fruits, fish, skinless turkey and chicken, beans & lentils and whole grains.
  • Make sure to include seaweed, seafood, radishes, garlic, watercress, mushrooms, egg yolks and Brewers Yeast.
  • Try and avoid raw forms of pine nuts, peanuts, cabbage, mustard, millet and turnips.  Cooked versions of these are normally accepted.
  • In all, you can lose weight by eating a low carbohydrate, low fat, enough-protein diet. You need to consciously limit intake of starches and sugar, avoiding pasta, rice, white flour breads & other processed foods.
  • Shift to a diet of fish, chicken, legumes, turkey, non-starchy vegetables, and certain grains.
  • With regards to your low immunity, include the following foods to boost your disease-fighting power.
  • Beef
  • Sweet potatoes
  • Mushrooms
  • Green tea
  • Yogurt
An all-around healthy diet is definitely crucial but these particular foods will help!
