Fungal infection or yeast infection occurs commonly in moist environments where there is minimal air circulation. Some precautions that you need to take so as to avoid further spreading of the fungal infection are as follows:
  • Maintain personal hygiene. Use your own set of toiletries and towels.

  • Bathe frequently.
  • Keep your skin as dry as possible.
  • Avoid wearing synthetic clothes, instead go for cotton wear.

  • Wear loose-fitting fabrics that you are comfortable in and that allow your skin to breathe freely.
  • Wear well-ventilated shoes.
You can make certain changes to your dietary regime. Include plenty of Vitamin A, C, and E in your diet. Minimize on sugars and refined carbohydrates in your diet. Avoid alcohol as much as you can. Eat plenty of green leafy vegetables, whole grains, and yoghurt. You can also include olive oil because it has a natural antifungal effect.

Use herbal treatments such as black walnut, myrrh, and the oil of castor bean. Another home remedy is to add 5 drops of tea tree oil in water and use it as an ointment. You can also add 5-10 drops of tea tree oil to your shampoo or use soap that has tea tree oil as one of the main constituents for cleansing your body. You can also sprays of citrus seed extract on the affected regions.
