Natural cures for fungal infection Fungal infections are generally caused when there is an overgrowth of fungi that is normally found in/on the body or the appearance of fungi normally not found on the body. They generally occur in nails, under the breast or folds of skin since they breed best in moist conditions, however they can just as easily occur on exposed parts of the body like the face or even the scalp. The best way to combat fungal infections is maintaining an extremely high level of hygiene, drying your skin properly after a bath and avoiding synthetic fibres and tight underwear and clothes.
Diabetic patients should keep their blood sugar level well under control since it could aggravate the condition. Raw garlic, being a strong anti-fungal agent, helps combat infections, so adding a clove or two to your daily diet is a good idea. You could also try applying tea plant oil on the affected areas for a fortnight. Fungal infections caused due to yeast can be combated by applying apple cider vinegar on the affected areas. Drinking buttermilk and consuming yoghurt is recommended since it reduces the chances of getting a yeast infection. Cranberry and blueberry extract also work as excellent anti-oxidants and help combat the infection. However if serious, a doctor should be consulted for any fungal infections.
