Health Advice on Arteriosclerosis

Arteriosclerosis is mainly caused by hypertension, cigarette smoking and high cholesterol levels.  These three causes are triggered by stress; therefore stress becomes the major factor contributing to arteriosclerosis.
Stress is a major cause of high blood pressure and high cholesterol.

When we get frightened or stressed, our brain stimulates the sympathetic nervous system that further compels the adrenal gland to pump out adrenaline. This eventually increases the number and frequency of heart beats. Stress also affects the adrenal glands in a way to produce hormones that causes retention of sodium and water in the body, potentially, leading to high blood pressure.

Chronic stress can also result in impair blood circulation that further elevates the blood pressure. Elevated blood pressure, impaired blood circulation, excessive formation of hormones and chronic stress also causes high level of cholesterol in the body. This increased blood pressure and high cholesterol level are major factors contributing to arteriosclerosis.
Stress producing high voltage chemicals like adrenaline, non-adrenaline and ACTH can further enable constriction of coronary arteries. This constriction impedes the blood flow to the heart and causes an abnormal heart beat, resulting to arteriosclerosis.
