Diet fro High Blood Pressure

To lower down your high blood pressure, follow the below mentioned dietary recommendations:
  • Follow a salt free diet because salt increases the level of blood pressure.
  • Incorporate more of fiber rich foods in your diet or take nutritional supplements.
  • Eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables such as apple, orange, banana, cabbage, broccoli, melons, peas, raisins, squash and sweet potato.


  • Drink fresh juices extracted from beet, carrot, celery, cranberry, currant, parsley, citrus fruits, watermelon and spinach.
  • Make a habit of drinking steam distilled water.
  • Avoid eating animal fats such as meat, chicken, peanuts, sour creams, liver, dairy products, pork, Bacon, beef and gravies.


  • Restrict your intake of soft drinks, chocolates, avocados, fava beans, cheese, aged meat, pickled herring, yogurt, wine, caffeine and tobacco.
  • Consume at least 2 tsp of flaxseed oil on a regular basis.
  • Put down extra weight. Involve yourself in regular exercises if you are overweight or obese. To shed down weight and burn extra fat from your body, you need to follow a high protein and a high fiber diet.
  • Avoid taking artificial sweetener aspartame or any other supplements that is composed of phenylalanine. This ingredient is an amino acid which is responsible for increasing blood pressure.
