Acid reflux can be effectively treated with various home remedies and natural treatments. Following are some of the best home remedies for acid reflux: - Make a habit of drinking one glass of milk daily. No matter, whether it’s skim milk or tone milk.
This is one of the best remedies for acid reflux.
- Drink plenty of water as excessive intake of water will help in diluting stomach acid and flush out toxins from the body.
- Raisins and almonds consumed early in the morning and after every meal is considered to be a miracle remedy for acid reflux.
- Fennel tea or chamomile tea gives a soothing effect and is believed to cure acid reflux. Ensure that the tea is neither too hot nor too cold.
- Eating an apple after every meal can also help in alleviating acid reflux.
- Chew a piece of candied ginger to get rid of acidity and heartburn. You can even add this piece of ginger to your tea.
- Swallow 2 to 3 tablespoons of undiluted apple cider vinegar to cure acid reflux. You can even these drops in a glass of warm water and drink.
- Juice extracted from aloe vera is considered to be the best natural treatment for acid reflux.

Natural treatment for acid reflux
- Soak a few pieces of ginger roots in diluted lemon juice for at least an hour. Chew on the pieces after every meal. Take 1 tsp of ginger juice and 1 tsp of honey and take it 2 timed a day. You can also add 1 tsp of lemon juice to it. Make a tea of ginger by adding it to your regular tea and drinking it once daily. Chew on a piece of ginger after your meals.
- Drink 1 glass of warm water in which 1 tsp of lemon juice and 1 tsp of honey has been added. You can add 3 drops of lemon juice to ½ tsp of honey and take it after your meals.
- Chew 1 tsp of Bishops's Weed after your meals.
- Half an hour before your lunchtime eat 1 apple and sip on 1 cup of buttermilk. You can sip buttermilk along with your meals and during the day. Eat 1 cup of yoghurt after your meals. Drink 2 to 3 glasses of coconut water everyday.
- Eat frequent and lighter meals. Have lots of water, fresh fruit juices, raw vegetable salads and fruits to control your acid reflux.
- Drink warm water during the day and after getting up in the morning. This will maintain the acidity level and aid digestion.
