Do the following at home to relieve toothache
- Get a bowl in which you hand can be immersed. Fill it with water and two handfuls of ice. If the ache is on the right side dip into the bowl your left palm and if the ache is on the left side dip your right palm. Use the free hand to feel the area between the index finger and the thumb, u will see that the muscles in that V shaped area will be tight. Gently rubbing the sore area will relieve the pain.
- Rinsing the mouth with hydrogen peroxide will kill the infection
- Gargling with an alcohol-based mouthwash will also help in relieving the pain. Repeat this process as often necessary
- Take a small piece of fresh onion and place it on the affected area, you will see that the pain is relieved immediately. Whenever you feel that the pain is coming back again bite the onion so that its juice flows over the affected area. This will also reduce the pain
- Crushed garlic and cloves also help in relieving the pain. This may burn a lot more than the toothache but is very effective
- Application of ice pack on the cheek near the affected tooth will also relieve the pain
- Rubbing the palm with ice also helps relieve toothache
