Cleaning of Ears Advice

Cleaning you ears with hydrogen peroxide is not advisable as it is a very strong chemical. It can harm your delicate eardrums. It may also be very harmful if you have a punctured ear drum or sensitive ear canal.

Rinsing your ear with hydrogen peroxide will make oxygen to bubble off and leave water in the ear canals which will facilitate the growth of bacteria. So, it would be advisable if you use this alternative treatment on the advice of your doctor.
You can use the following home remedies if you do not have any ear infection or a past history of it.

  • Flush your ear canal with alcohol to remove water and dry the area. But if this natural cure causes pain then you might have ear drum perforation.
  • You can safely use the natural treatment of cleaning your ear canal with sea water spray on a regular basis.
  • Another effective home remedy is paraffin oil. Warm it and drip it in your ears to soften the wax.
  • Mix water and apple cider vinegar in an equal proportion and warm the mixture. Put a few drops in both the ears for regular cleansing. You can also use olive oil as another home cure for cleaning your ears.
  • Put a few drops of baby oil, glycerin or mineral oil to help remove the ear wax naturally.
