Health advice for bone spurs
- Do cold compress with ice cubes on the area to reduce inflammation but if the pain is unbearable then apply a hot water bag or a heating pad on the area.
- Take 500 mg to 1000 mg of the yellow pigment of turmeric called curcumin 3 to 4 times everyday on an empty stomach for 5 to 6 weeks.
- You can take alternate hot and cold baths or apply a hot pack of flaxseed to the affected area.
- Warm some linseed oil and take a piece of cheese cloth. Dip it in the oil and place it on your shoulder. Cover the cloth with a plastic sheet and apply a heating pad for about 2 hours.
- Rest as much you can and avoid any strenuous activity.
- Avoid flat shoes and wear heeled shoes made of rubber for sometime. Do not walk barefoot on hard surfaces and avoid heavy work out.
- Mild yoga exercises will benefit your condition.
- Wash your shoulder from arnica or chamomile or wrap them around your shoulders.
- Take a balanced supplement of magnesium and calcium.
