How can I get rid of oily hair?

Oily hair natural remedies

Oily hair is a condition that occurs naturally in a number of people. You can principally care for oily hair in the same ways as you would take care of oily skin. You should try and remove all the extra oil and ensure that you exfoliate the scalp to unblock your hair follicles.

This is especially important because clogged follicles are a breeding ground for infection and this in turn can lead to serious scalp problems. You should ensure that your hair is very clean and well maintained.

If you have fine hair, you are much more likely to have oily hair because this means that you have much more hair on your head and hence, a much higher number of oil glands in your scalp. Wash your hair everyday and ensure that you use a gentle shampoo that does not harm or dry out your hair. It is also advisable that you use a clear shampoo because these tend to have fewer chemicals in them. Avoid using a conditioner as this might make your hair much more oily and limp. Massage the hair with a toning solution of malt vinegar. Add a pinch of salt and massage this on your hair and allow it to remain for one hour. Applying an astringent on your scalp can also help reduce oiliness. You can also massage the scalp by using a brush.
