Scabies natural remedies

Scabies is a highly contagious skin disease caused by tiny mites called Sarcoptes scabei.

Try the following simple home remedies to cure scabies -

• Maintain appropriate personal hygiene, as scabies is highly contagious it can spread quickly. Do not share your towels, beddings or clothes with any of your family members or friends.
  
  
  Wash all the clothes, beddings and towels within 48 hours in hot water.
• Margosa leaves have beneficial effect in curing scabies. Take fresh margosa leaves and grind them to make a paste. Now add turmeric powder and mustard oil in it. Apply this paste on the body an hour before taking bath. To get rid of mites regularly follow this remedy for a week.
• Apply fresh apricot juice on the affected area to get rid of the tiny microscopic bites which cause scabies.
• Vacuum the upholstery, furniture, carpets, rugs and other areas where there is a possibility for mites to spread. Remember to throw the vacuum bags later.
• If scabies is accompanied with fever, pus, or a skin infection then consult a specialist to get immediate medical attention.
