Try the following home remedies for back pain
  • A warm water compress helps a lot for back pain, fill hot water in a glass bottle or in a heating bag and apply it on the back.
  • Liberally include ginger and garlic in your diet as they have pain killing properties.
  • Use eucalyptus oil or mustard oil to gently massage the back.


    Do it in downwards direction that is starting from the upper back to the lower back.
  • Boil 10-12 holy basil leaves in a cup of water till the water reduces to half cup. Add a pinch of salt in it and drink daily to ease back pain.
  • Maintain a good posture especially while sitting, standing and walking; avoid long standing hours or sitting in one position.
  • Avoid smoking and try some suitable yogic exercises to ease back pain.
  • Preferably sleep straight on your back on a firm mattress instead of a soft one.
