Some home remedies for head lice
Turmeric and neem You will find this home remedy useful in getting rid of head lice. Prepare a paste of margosa and turmeric by grinding fresh margosa leaves and the root of turmeric. Add some water while grinding the two ingredients to paste.
Mix four parts of margosa paste to one part of turmeric. Apply the paste by rubbing it gently throughout the hair shafts.
Coconut, Anise and Ylang Ylang Oil This home remedy is also considered very effective for head lice.
Take equal quantities of anise, coconut, and ylang ylang oil. Mix these essential oils in a bowl and add isopropyl alcohol.
Salt Salt is known to act strongly on head lice. Its is has antiseptic properties and will help to get rid of lice effectively. Vinegar Vinegar helps strip the hair of its grease that holds the nits onto the hair. Apply vinegar on the hair and leave it on a for a few minutes. You will see how easily you can simply comb out the lice.
Tea Tree Oil and Peppermint Oil You could use these wonder oils as they help combat the spread of head lice. tea tree oil is a natural antiseptic and is also used an insecticide. Where as peppermint oil is really strong and is known to act heavily on live bugs. You can blend some peppermint oil to the shampoo you use regularly. This oil also has a soothing and a cooling effect.
