Natural cure for nasal congestion
- Avoid a diet in high on carbohydrates. Carbohydrates are known to cause nasal congestion. Lessen the intake of sugar and carbohydrates in your diet.
Consume a balanced diet that includes whole grains, fish and vegetables. - Increase the amount of fluid intake. Drink plenty of water.
Consume fruit juice and tea but without sugar. Rest and relax as much as possible. A commonly used home remedy is to boil a couple of glasses of water and inhale its vapor. This will help clear the nose. - A treatment known to cure nasal congestion is with the use of apple cider vinegar.
- Pour 3– 4 tbsp of apple cider vinegar in a pan. Heat the vinegar until it begins to steam. Cover your head with a towel and inhale the vapor.
- The use of eucalyptus and peppermint oil is known to provide immediate relief to a blocked nose. Pour 2 -3 drops of either of the essential oils on a cotton ball. Hold it near the nose and inhale deeply. This treatment will clear the nasal passage and give you instant relief.
- Another useful remedy is increasing the consumption of garlic and onion. You can add garlic and onion in your daily meal preparations or eat it in the raw form.
