Natural cure for nasal congestion
Avoid a diet in high on carbohydrates. Carbohydrates are known to cause nasal congestion. Lessen the intake of sugar and carbohydrates in your diet. Consume a balanced diet that includes whole grains, fish and vegetables.
Increase the amount of fluid intake. Drink plenty of water. Consume fruit juice and tea but without sugar. Rest and relax as much as possible. A commonly used home remedy is to boil a couple of glasses of water and inhale its vapor. This will help clear the nose.
A treatment known to cure nasal congestion is with the use of apple cider vinegar.
Pour 3– 4 tbsp of apple cider vinegar in a pan. Heat the vinegar until it begins to steam. Cover your head with a towel and inhale the vapor.
The use of eucalyptus and peppermint oil is known to provide immediate relief to a blocked nose. Pour 2 -3 drops of either of the essential oils on a cotton ball. Hold it near the nose and inhale deeply. This treatment will clear the nasal passage and give you instant relief.
Another useful remedy is increasing the consumption of garlic and onion. You can add garlic and onion in your daily meal preparations or eat it in the raw form.
