hi, I need a home remedy for a pain in my knee and thigh (left). Almost 6 months ago I was going to fall and tumbled on my left leg for like 10 minutes....MRI shows minor bruises thanks...Augustina

Wear protective shoes to prevent pronation (inward roll of the foot) as it disturbs the knee alignment. You can either buy them over-the-counter or get them custom-made from a podiatrist or a sports-medicine specialist.
Buy very low and broad heeled shoes for better balance and alignment and wear specific shoes for specific purposes.
Replace your worn out shoes every 6 to 8 months.
Being over weight is another main reason for knee and thigh pain. Try aerobics or yoga exercises suitable for your body type and eat low fat and low cholesterol diet for keeping your weight in check.
Do not bend to pick up anything. Sit down and then get up slowly or hold something while unfolding your body. Try not to pick up anything heavy.
Massage your body with warm mustard oil in which 3 or 4 clove spices and 5 or 6 garlic cloves had been boiled. This will increase blood circulation and heal the bruises.
Do cold compress your thigh and knee and rest them as much as you can. Keep your leg in an elevated position and slightly separated so as not to put pressure on your affected leg while you are sitting or lying down.
