Natural cures for strep throat
- The antibacterial and antiviral properties of Ethinacea help in speeding up the process of healing. Make a decoction of this herb in water and gargle with it 2 times a day.
- The herb horseradish treats the upper respiratory tract, controls fever and aids the release of mucus.
- Myrrh is anti-inflammatory and acts as a natural decongestant.
- The tincture of Barberry prevents strep from attacking the lining of the throat. In ¼th cup of water, add 15 to 20 drops of it and take it 3 times a day for 10 days continuously.
- Add garlic oil in 1/4th cup of water and gargle with it once a day. Garlic makes swallowing easier.
- Boil some peeled and grated ginger roots in water till the quantity reduces to half and then add 1 tsp of honey to it and drink it twice daily. You can also boil some ginger root in 1 glass of water, strain it and add some common salt. Now, gargle with it 2 times daily. Extract 1 tsp of ginger juice with the help of a soft muslin cloth and add 1 tsp of honey to it. Take this 2 times a day. This will heal the throat and cure infection.
