Natural treatment for halitosis
  • Put 1 tsp of fenugreek seed in ½ liter of cold water and as it starts to boil, lower the flame and let it simmer for 15 minutes. Strain it and drink it when it cools down a little.
  • Regular use of avocado cures any kind of decomposition that might be causing bad breath.


  • Chewing the unripe fruit of guava and its tender leaves, stop bleeding of the gums and cure bad breath.
  • Fresh fruit juices and the juice from green leafy vegetables are especially good for treating bad breath.
  • In 1 glass of warm water add 2 tsp of vinegar and gargle with it 2 to 3 times a day. You can also use it as a mouth wash.
  • Regularly use mouth wash before going to bed at night.
  • Chew or suck on a clove spice regularly as it is not only good for bad breath but also keeps the teeth healthy and strengthens the gums.
  • You can also suck on a cardamom or 1 tsp of aniseed especially after having your meals.
  • Always rinse your mouth after eating anything especially milk and milk products, chocolates, tea or coffee.
  • You can drink herbal teas regularly as this will help prevent the formation of plaques.
  • Brush your teeth and gums before going to bed at night.
