Fever is the elevation in the metabolic rate, thereby resulting in an increase in the body temperature. A decoction of twelve grams of basil leaves in half a liter of water, a teaspoon of sugar and powdered cardamom. Half a cup of water is helpful. Apricot juice with honey is helpful. In case of temperatures rising above 102 degree Fahrenheit, placing a cloth dipped in cold water on the forehead is helpful. Potato slices placed on the forehead and stomach for around half an hour is effective. Two cloves of garlic is crushed in two tablespoons of olive oil. This is placed as a poultice on both the feet and leave overnight. Half a teaspoon of saffron strands are added to 30 ml of boiling water. Soaked and crushed raisins with the water are an effective remedy. Half a teaspoon of lime juice is added to the extract. Fenugreek seeds, soaked overnight are rejuvenating and help in dissolving the mucus. Orange is a wonder fruit, which helps in increasing the urine output and enhances immunity. Grapefruit juice also proves beneficial.
