Natural Treatment for Chicken Pox
Chicken pox can be treated most effectively with various home remedies. Read on the following home remedies for curing chicken pox:
- Mix one cup of white vinegar, ½ cup of baking soda and one cup of alpha Keri body oil. Soak this mixture in the bathing water and leave for about 20 minutes and take your bath.
- Keep your daughter’s nails filed as with long nails, people tend to scratch down the lesions.
- Try an oatmeal bath for a more soothing effect.
- Keep the itchy spots cool by placing a cloth soaked in cold water on the infected area of the skin.
- Keep your daughter clean so as to keep the sores clean and avoid further skin inflammations.
- Avoid using over the counter steroid creams such as Cortaid because these creams can further cause various other bacterial infections.
- Restrict your body movement. This is because chicken pox is a highly infectious disease and when you come in contact with the other person you tend to infect the other person with the similar disease.
- Make your daughter wear loose clothes because looser the clothes, better will be the comfort and quick will be the recovery.
- Baking soda directly mixed into bath water can also be beneficial. You can bathe your daughter with water or take a clean cloth, soak that in the prepared water and apply over the sores.
