Home Remedies for Sweaty Palms
Excessive sweating of palms in medical term is known as hyperhidrosis. This actually becomes the most embarrassing situation for many people. But, here I have some good and quick home made remedies for sweaty palms.
- One of the most effective ways is to shock yourself through low level electric current or iontophoresis. This actually helps in trap overactive sweat ducts and keeps them away for about 6 weeks.
- You can also try rubbing some of the good over the counter antiperspirant that you generally use for your underarms on your palms. Choose an antiperspirant with aluminum chloro-hydrate because that is one of the most recognized and active drying agent.
- Stress management also is significant for treating sweaty palms. Stress, anxiety and nervousness contribute to sweating and hence, if stress is managed through exercises, dietary habits and home remedies then it will definitely help to treat hyperhidrosis.
- Avoid foods such as broccoli, asparagus, white onion, beef, liver and meat. All these foods are high in iodine and tend to aggravate the condition.
- You can also try alcohol based hand wipe which eventually shrink pores and reduce perspiration.
- Take few tea bags and boil a quart of water with these tea bags. Soak your palms for about 30 minutes in the cooled water.
- Try drinking sage tea. This helps to reduce perspiration as well as body odor because of the presence of zinc. Beware that zinc might interfere with the absorption of copper, so limit your consumption of zinc.
