Eye sty natural cures

Stye are small red bumps seen on the eyelids or corners of the eye. They are bacterial infections that are harmless. Common symptoms of stye are sensitivity to light, redness, pain and inflammation, tenderness, excessive synthesis of tears and problems in blinking.

Wash your hands and eyes regularly and keep them clean. The body takes a few days to get rid of this infection. Minor styes are treated with home remedies. Severe ones call for drainage through surgical methods.

Over-the-counter drops help in relieving itch and infection. A warm compress or hot pack proves beneficial. Mashed potatoes act as an excellent healer, by placing the same as a poultice. Guava leaves are also used in the same manner. Tannic acid in tea is an effective remedy for styes, when placed warm. Styes are prevented by a good dietary intake of vitamin A, as they enhance the immunity levels of the body. Raspberry leaf tea is filled in an eyecup available in eyewash kit. Place it near your eyes and repeatedly close and open your eyes. Fennel tea is prepared and a cotton ball or tissue is dabbed with the same. It is placed over the eye. This is an effective remedy.
